LESSON TITLE:           Solving Linear and Simultaneous Equations

LESSON OBJECTIVES:            
Students will be able to

differentiate an expression and an equation.
understand and recognize a simple linear equation.                                            
move a variable from the LHS to the RHS and vice versa.
move a constant from the LHS to the RHS and vice-versa.

PERIOD 1
Learning Objectives : Students will be able to solve simple linear equations

Key Vocabulary:         simple linear equation, Left Hand side(LHS), Right Hand side(RHS).
Key Questions:           How will you solve simple linear equations which involve one variable?

Explains the process of differentiating an expression and an equation.

Gives Examples of simple linear equation.


Shows that the sign of the variable/constant changes when a variable is moved from the LHS to the RHS and vice versa.

Introduces the method of solving linear equations by taking the LCM first and then removing the brackets.
